Unit 4: Social trends - is society changing?

Last week in class, we talked about social trends - new, popular ways of thinking. In the PPT below, you can see the results from our class for each question we asked. In the 2D class, 22 students did the survey.

Now, compare the 2D class's results to the collated results of ALL my students. A TOTAL of 95 students did this survey last week.

Compare the results of our survey. Do you see any trends in your generation's ideas for society? Do you think Korean (and Chinese) society is changing? Are there any traditions that will continue?

    The result was very different. Especially, result of "personal happiness is more important than work" is opposite result. I think Korean's trens is changing very quickly. The Past day, Korean thinks family is very important. However the present day, Korean thinks a private person is more important than family.

    Result of two survey is sameness more than
    different. Most noticeable different between Native English 2D and All Students is
    "Personal happiness is more important than
    work". I agree this. Korea society is changing
    differntly in past day. I think Korean society changing that family is more important than society.

    Between Native English 2D students and All Native English students have similarity point and different point. Between Native English 2D students and All Native English students many different result 1 and 2. Other results are practically similar.
    About results, we know Korean society thinking.
    But several years elapsed, Korean society will change.

    Today trend is a plastic surgery
    In the past, surgery was thinking about was a shame, but now plastic surgery is not shame.
    because you get Confidence and beauty through plastic surgery. So many people are undergoing plastic surgery
    However, due to cosmetic surgery, people are increasingly suffering from side effects. because a lot of plastic surgery or Side Effects.

    I compare the 2D class's results to the collated results of ALL student's. There is no difference between our class's results and all student's. and I think Korea society trends is changing. For example, Question : Education is more valuble than experience. Most students disagree with this statement. I also disagree. In the past Korea, many people just think education is the best way to live well. However, experience is more crucial power to overcome any situation and life than education. As this example, social trands will change with soicial surrounding.

    result of two survey is similarlity and different. I thing so korean society is changing. long time ago, korean is famillir and Collectivism.
    korea society trends changing that more important individualism than Collectivism.

    The result of two survey(2d student, All student)is very differnt.
    Especially, question 2, 2d student answer "Work is more important than Personal happiness." but 93% of A TOTAL of 95 students' think is different.
    But, There were many similarty point, too.
    Result of question 6 is very similary between 2d student and All student.

    The result of two surveys has similar and different points. Two groups that participatated in study has interesting answers. The most impressive question was no.2-personal happiness is more important than work. I thought that most essential thing to me was my happiness. But Some people of Becka's student has opposite position. But most of questions have resembling answers.

    The result of survey have a slight tilt to one side. Especially, Question 8 "Practicing religion is more important than being fasionable" is perfectly same. And the result of Question 3, 6 are very similar. I think Korean society is changing. In the past, for women, having children is more important than having a successful career. But, according to a Question 6, many of student think having a successful career is more important than having children.

    Two results are same or different each other.
    For example "for women, having children is more important than having a successful career" is same each other.One is 60%:40% ,another is 63%:37%.
    Korean social trend is changing everyday. Past day, we think having children is more important.So we did that. But now, we think successful career is moer important. We are changing and changing

    The result of our survey and whole students are mostly same. but there is a little difference.
    I think 'Korea Social Trend' is changing. Many of Our grandparent's Generation insist Women don't need education, It is important whether Women do chores well or not.
    But The Most of Our Generation don't think that way. the man and the women are equal.
    Even so, tranditional Idea has many problem, It is certain that There are many good Things.one of the examples, Respect for elders is the Thing we must keep and continue.
